The BRACED COMMISSION is an intra-state  agency  of the governments of Bayelsa, Rivers,  Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo and Delta states focused on  fostering regional economic cooperation and integration  as well as promote sustainable development within  the six south south states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is committed to working with the states governments, providing them with comprehensive, authoritative and reliable analysis, research and informative services that will further contribute to growth and development, reduction in poverty and job creation.
We are looking for highly qualified candidates with the flair, knowledge, strong intellectual capacity and the ability to work long hours to fill the following positions in the Commission

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

For The Post of Deputy Director General,
Department Directors are the most senior staff positions in the organization  and these vacancies provides great opportunities for intellectual leadership in a period in which the region’s ambition is to be globally competitive.
Qualification: Masters Degree or PhD in relevant disciplines.
Working Experience: A minimum of 15-20 years progressive responsible   experience in the public or private sector or any research institution is required as well as proven track record. Experience in working in an international organization and a clear knowledge or ability to provide excellent management and leadership skills is essential. The ability to organize staff, mobilize resources, and lead engagement with a wide range of stakeholders will be an advantage. Candidates must have a good communication and computer skills.


For the Post of Executive Secretary, Braced Foundation
A dynamic individual who can provide intellectual leadership and guidance to the BRACED FOUNDATION. Successful candidate must possess exceptional higher education and policy oriented research backgrounds, considerable experience in working with non state actors, especially community based organizations, in fund raising and in initiating and implementing programs and projects that impacts on communities around the south south.
Candidate must have a First degree or Masters in a relevant discipline with 10 years or more experience in NGO work.


For The Post of Heads of Department
First degree or Masters in relevant discipline with 15 years’ post graduate experience in the public or private sector. Must have the ability to initiate programs, influence, organize and lead teams to achieve the objective of the BRACED Commission as wells as be able to monitor developments in the BRACED states. Good communication and computer skills are essential.


For The Post of Senior Economist
Successful candidate would be responsible for accessing and monitoring economic trends and developments in the BRACED States. Be able to conduct detailed research and work with experts from the BRACED states to prepare annual economic reports.
Interested candidates must possess first-degree or masters in economics with 10 to 12 years post graduate experience. Good communication and computer skills are essential.


For Post of Coordinators/Program and Research Officers
First degree or Masters with 10 and 15 years post graduate experience in relevant fields and research methodology. Must posses the ability to conduct research, gather, analyze and disseminate information. Good communication and computer skills are essential.
